Here’s a list of some of my favorite Tampa photography locations to help give you some inspiration for your next family photo session!
Woohoo, you’ve booked your photography session!!! Now it’s time to make some important decisions like what everyone is going to wear, and most importantly what location to use?!
I’ve made a list with some of my favorite local spots in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater Florida. Hopefully it helps to give you some inspiration for your next photo shoot!
One – In Your Home!!!
In-home photo sessions have my heart. There are SO many perks to choosing your home as your session location. In fact, I’ve written an entire separate blog post about it which you can find here! To keep it short and sweet, in-home sessions will always be unique to you and your family, the kids will be comfortable and more likely to open up and be themselves in front of the camera, oh and you don’t have to stress about packing everything and everyone up in to the car!
Two – A Local Park or Nature Preserve
Some of my favorite parks to use near Tampa include Cypress Point Park, Swann Circle Park, Plant Park at the University of Tampa, Seaplane Basin Park on Davis Islands and Philippe Park in Safety Harbor!
Three – Urban / City Locations
You can’t go wrong with roaming Downtown Tampa, Ybor City, Hyde Park or Bayshore Boulevard!
Four – The Beach!!!
We are SO lucky to have an endless supply of gorgeous beaches nearby. Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, Davis Islands Beach, Fort De Soto, and Honeymoon Island just to name a few!
Five – My South Tampa Natural Light Studio!
I have taken a lot of time and care to make this a clean, neutral, and functional space so that the emphasis of your photos can be on YOU! I have a beautiful hand painted backdrop, neutral rugs, seating options, throws etc. I am also happy to provide a carefully curated client wardrobe full of dresses for mama and pieces for babies and toddlers up to 4T. The best parts of the studio are AIR CONDITIONING, a bathroom, and a safe space to keep little ones who like to run contained!
Six – A Spot That Is Meaningful to You!
Do you have a favorite pizza spot where you go with the family every Friday night? A bench where you and your spouse got engaged?! A special place you love to watch the sunset, or go fishing with the kids? Choosing a space that is meaningful to you and your family always makes for amazing and unique photographs. Think about what you and your family love to do for fun, and go from there!
